Quick tips from experienced Stars77 players to sharpen your game.
Poker is more than a game of chance. It's the art of reading your opponents, managing risk, and making the right calls under pressure. At Stars77, we understand what this game means — which is why we've built a poker platform truly suited to Malaysian players, from Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru to Penang, Kota Kinabalu, and Kuching.
Since Stars77 launched its online poker room, the response from local players has been overwhelmingly positive. Within just a few months, more than 50,000 active players have been joining Stars77 poker tables every day. This is no coincidence — it's the result of a user-friendly interface, consistently full tables, and regularly scheduled tournaments with attractive prize pools.
Texas Hold'em remains the most popular poker variant at Stars77, accounting for nearly 60% of all poker sessions played on the platform. That said, Stars77 doesn't stop there. Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Short Deck Hold'em, and various tournament formats including MTT (Multi-Table Tournament) and Sit & Go are also available for players looking to mix things up.
One of Stars77's biggest advantages over other platforms is the convenience of deposits and withdrawals via popular Malaysian payment methods. Players can top up using Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, DuitNow, FPX through Maybank2u or CIMB Clicks, Boost, and ShopeePay. No currency conversion hassle — all transactions are processed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM), with a minimum deposit of just RM10.
New to poker and not sure where to start? Stars77 offers a free practice mode where you can play with virtual chips and zero risk to your real money. It's the ideal way to get comfortable with the rules, learn hand rankings, and test out strategies without any pressure. Once you feel confident, you can jump into real-money tables with buy-ins starting from as low as RM0.50/RM1.
Stars77 also runs daily freeroll tournaments – meaning you can join for free and still have a chance to win real money. It's the perfect opportunity for new players to build confidence and seasoned players to warm up before the big tournaments. Stars77's regular tournament schedule includes the "Sunday Million" every Sunday night with a guaranteed prize of RM10,000 and the "VIP High Roller" every Saturday with a prize pool reaching RM25,000.
On the security front, Stars77 uses 256-bit SSL encryption to protect all player data. The RNG (Random Number Generator) used in our games has been independently audited by an accredited body to ensure absolute fairness in card distribution. This means every card you receive is completely random – no manipulation, no favouritism.
Stars77 players also benefit from an exclusive VIP programme. The more you play, the faster you climb — from Bronze all the way to Diamond. VIP members enjoy weekly cashback, faster withdrawals, higher betting limits, and dedicated personal agent support around the clock. This loyalty programme is designed to reward Malaysian players who continue to trust Stars77.
